LITHIUM CELLS AND BATTERIES
The power of the Lithium at your service.
The lithium is a very light metal but with a high specific capacity (3.86Ah/g) and unique electrochemical characteristics.
The lithium cells, in their different versions, meet a high capacity, low weight, very low auto-discharge (long life storage without scarcely capacity loss) and possibility to operate in extreme temperature conditions.
Wide operating temperature range:
These cells and batteries can work from –60ºC to +85ºC, depending on the cell, current, and environmental conditions.
Lifetime:
Over 10 years the still keep their initial characteristic.
Different technologies:
There are three different technologies that adapt themselves to all applications that can exist, such as: memory back-up, sporadic discharges, energy back-up during a long time, lightweight, low auto-discharge, etc. The different technologies are:
- Lithium-Thionyl Chloride cells (LiSOCl2)
Technology with a cylindrical shape and two configurations : bobbin (LS) and spiral (LSH).
Both have a nominal voltage of 3.6 V/cell.
The bobbin can be found in standard or high capacity versions.
The latter is the most appropriate in uses of very low consumption and long term life.
They offer the best characteristics within those of their range as they include laser hermetic sealing, stainless steel shell, safety fuses, etc.
European technology designed and manufactured in France. - Lithium Sulphur Dioxide cells (LiSO2)
Cells designed, as above, in cylindrical shape but only in spiral configuration.
Nominal voltage : 3 V/cell.
Available in standard "SX" and pulse capability "SHX" versions.
Both for civil and militar uses. - Lithium-Manganese Dioxide cells (LiMnO2)
Button cells with a nominal voltage of 3 V.
Nominal voltage : 3 V/cell.
Available in different versions although mainly assigned to memories, computers and industrial purposes.
